I went to ...Hey - I really, really liked this post. I went to PA about two years ago for a spring break mission trip and did the same thing. We packed several sandwiches, socks, soap, and tooth paste and headed to the train station. We found a large group of homeless men sitting together and we asked if we could sit with them and told them we had food to share. It was probably one of the most eye opening experiences in my life. We talked about a lot of the same things you guys talked about, prayed with them, and got kicked out by security because our eating section was closing for the night.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you and let you know I had the same thoughts - I really shouldn't be doing this - but I did and it has changed my outlook on homelessness.

If you haven't heard of the book "Same Kind of Different as Me," you should look it up and get it. Great perspective on a homeless man and a rich man in Dallas.

Natalie (from Bridgeport)Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12608961716877055927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550667173493496444.post-23707750560868474142008-11-28T17:22:00.000-06:002008-11-28T17:22:00.000-06:00Red is my favorite color!!Red is my favorite color!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550667173493496444.post-88873804791390060122008-10-24T18:55:00.000-05:002008-10-24T18:55:00.000-05:00Me too, I am a Christian but I try not to be like ...Me too, I am a Christian but I try not to be like other Christians who are rude to non-Christians.

I used to let my mental illness take control, and it made me rude with a big ego. But I have been humbled and I am trying to be positive now. The mental illness created negative thoughts and with them sometimes rudeness and arrogance. But I am learning how to control it and become a better Christian. I made friends on Facebook that are not Christian and I am trying to give a better image of a Christian as not all Christians are alike. I used humor but not everyone got my jokes, so I had to tune the humor down a bit.

They know me as a Pirate Ninja, instead of red shoes.

In real life I am a very good friend to my friends and family. But on the Internet I had a bit of trouble communicating, but I am getting better at it.Orion Blastarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06272511547586158660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550667173493496444.post-77047475156720181052008-10-12T18:23:00.000-05:002008-10-12T18:23:00.000-05:00Love the shoes in the photo. What is the Brand?
